This is a problem i'm noticing a lot of places, but there's a big lack of suitable rat cages, unless you make them yourself. i don't have the resources, at this moment, to make rat cages myself, but i still would like a cage large enough for multiple rats.
two or more rats need cages at least 2x2x2 feet. the only ones you can find are 2 feet high, two feet long, but one foot wide. x.x there are some the proper dimensions, but they have huge bars, since tehy were meant for larger animals, like chinchillas. X.x
a pan-bottom would be preffered, to which the wires attach. do these sorts of cages actually exist, commercially?

k yes you could get a averiy which you can get from several sites including Surrey pet supplies which will be the demensions you want but they are expensive. and tend not to come with shelves so you will have to make your own go here www.fancy-rats.co.uk/resources/webdirectory/?c=009Its a "rival forum" but thats a list of rat cage sites also fancy rat do a section on avery reviews. If you want to go smaller i like the critter 3 which surrey pet supplies do its abot 2 by 2 by 1 but i think its great
